Leather 101

leather 101 bookLeather seems like such a simple subject at first. What could be so complicated, it’s just leather, right? Turns out, there is actually much more to leather than most people think. Like wine or coffee, there are vast differences in quality, craftsmanship, origin, character, aging and effect.

For example, if you’re a coffee aficionado, imagine if someone tried to sell you instant decaf coffee but marketed it to you as a robust Guatemalan reserve fresh out of the French Press? So we’re taking a deep dive into the world of leather in hopes that it might be helpful when evaluating all of your options.
