Manufacturing a private label collection of leather bags or accessories can be a complicated endeavor. There are a lot of things that can go wrong. Along the way, there are design issues, tech packs, material selection, factory selection, prototyping, dies, pre-production sampling, production, quality control and logistics to name just a few. Finding suppliers and factory partners you can trust is a very challenging process and will inevitably lead to costly mistakes and false starts.
We’ve been working in this area for many years and know how to successfully navigate these issues and get results. Part of the challenge is finding the right suppliers and factories to partner with for a particular project. We have high quality, reliable and honest suppliers and factories we work with and can help you get your collection up and running as smoothly as possible. When issues arise, we know how to solve them quickly and move forward.
Some of the materials we work with include leather, canvas (waxed and unwaxed), nylon, hardware, thread, and more. We can help with most types of bags, small goods and accessories including messenger bags, briefcases, handbags, duffle bags, totes, portfolios, wallets, watch straps, journals and much more. If it’s a bag or common accessory, we can help.
We prefer to work with existing brands that are looking to add a new product line or collection. We also will work with startups that are well capitalized. Unfortunately, bag and accessory manufacturing does take capital and if you’re in a cash crunch, this is probably not a good fit. Similarly, if you are looking to make products as cheaply as possible, we are not a good fit. We only work with quality suppliers and factories. Their prices are reasonable, but you do get what you pay for and we believe making quality products is the key to long term success. We simply won’t work on projects that are churn and burn, with unrealistic pricing and timing.
If you become a client, you’ll work directly with Jackson Wayne owner Andrew Lynch. After an onboarding process where we learn details about your project, goals and brand, we’ll help you navigate the process from concept to production. Along the way, you’ll have access to vetted product designers, material suppliers, factory partners and more. You’ll have direct relationships with them and no added markup from us. This helps set you up for long term success and a sustainable product line.
We can also help with general business and e-commerce issues related to launching a bag or accessory line.
